The American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) is dedicated to the belief that lifelong learning contributes to human fulfillment and positive social change. To that end, we provide leadership for the field of adult and continuing education by expanding opportunities for adult growth and development; unifying adult educators; fostering the development and dissemination of theory, research, information, and best practices; promoting identity and standards for the profession; and advocating relevant public policy and social change initiatives.

Conference Theme

We invite adult educators from diverse learning environments to share their research, best practices, and theory at the 66th Annual AAACE Conference in Memphis, Tennessee from October 31 to November 3. We welcome proposals which illustrate the unity and shared experiences of adult learners and adult educators throughout the field, as described in this year’s conference theme, Adult Education: One Chorus of Many Voices.

AAACE conference presenters are practitioners, faculty, graduate students, trainers, instructional designers, and program administrators who represent the diverse areas encompassed under the Adult and Continuing Education umbrella. Previous workshop and poster topics have included innovative teaching practices, case studies from international learning projects, and examinations of adult learning theory, to name only a few. The common factor linking all accepted proposals is relevance to and advancement of adult teaching and learning. More information on the areas in Adult and Continuing Education can be found by clicking here.

Submitting your Proposal

Presenters will utilize concurrent, shared-concurrent, roundtable, and poster sessions and are asked to identify their preferred format in their proposal; however, proposal reviewers may suggest alternative formats when appropriate. Submit your proposal at https://proposalspace.com/calls/d/730 through Proposal Space.
