Temporarily Suspended Late Reaccreditation Policies to Resume on June 1, 2022 image

Due to COVID 19, IACET suspended the penalties for late reaccreditation applications. We realize that many organizations were going through major disruptions, changes in operations, and pivoting to online learning event delivery. After two years, IACET will reinstate the following timelines and related fees. They will go into effect on June 1, 2022.

Every five years, an Accredited Provider will need to reaccredit to the current ANSI/IACET Standard. This is the 5-year cycle of accreditation. 

The reaccreditation application should be submitted at a minimum of 90 days prior to the anniversary date. The process for reaccreditation is to:

  • Purchase the reaccreditation application: $495.
  • Submit narratives and evidence of continued ANSI/IACET Standard conformance as well as the past five years of annual reports (these automatically pull from the IACET AMS into your reaccreditation application).

The payment for Reaccreditation is $4,370 ($3,275 application review fee + $1,095 maintenance fee for the first year of the new 5-year accreditation cycle) and is due upon application submission.

Failure to adhere to the accreditation maintenance will result in the organization’s removal from the list of accredited providers. Organizations whose accreditation lapses are no longer authorized to issue IACET CEUs to their learners and are required to remove all IACET language and logos from their materials and marketing collateral. To encourage APs to submit the reaccreditation application and meet the minimum 90 day prior to accreditation expiration submission deadline, the following timelines and realted fees will be imposed in these scenarios.

Reaccreditation Application Expedited Review Fee ($875)

If elapsing accreditation expires prior to the completion of the application review, the accredited provider will be provisionally authorized to continue awarding IACET CEUs since the first-year annual accreditation fee has been paid.

Less than or equal 120 days after accreditation expiration

<= 120 after accreditation expiration

Accreditation Extension Fee ($1,095) – Prior to submission

Renewal Application Review Fee ($3,275)

First Year Annual Accreditation Maintenance Fee ($1,095)

Re-accreditation Application Expedited Review Fee ($875)

The Accreditation Extension Fee allows for the organization to be granted up to a four (4) months extension, during which time they may provisionally authorized to continue awarding IACET CEUs.

If the extension expires prior to the completion of the application review, the accredited provider will continue to be provisionally authorized to continue awarding IACET CEUs since the first-year annual accreditation feehas been paid.

If the anniversary of the first year of the new cycle arrives prior to the completion of the review, the organization must submit second year annual accreditation fee and the annual report to maintain the ability to provisionally authorize IACET CEUs.

Initial Application Review Fee ($4,290)

First Year Annual Accreditation Maintenance Fee ($1,095)

The organization will need to apply for accreditation using the Initial Application.

The organization will no longer authorized to issue IACET CEUs to their learners and are required to remove all IACET language and logos from their materials and marketing collateral.

The organization will be ineligible for being provisionally authorized to issue IACET CEUs.
