In this session, we’ll discuss principles of design thinking and how they relate to learning. We’ll also review the current landscape and discover new technological innovations to scale instructional design.
Session 2: Adaptive Learning for Better Outcomes
Speaker: Nick Howe, CLO at Area9 Learning

Session 3: Learning Engineering - The Art of Using Learning Science to Improve Performance
Speaker: Bror Saxberg, CLO at Kaplan
Description: There's much research about how learning can be enhanced by the right kinds of learning experiences. Rather than random walks with technology ("Video is great, right?"), we'll take a closer look at what science and research tells us about how people learn. We'll then turn our focus to learning engineering--the application of learning science at scale.
"We're excited to have industry support from leading accreditation partners and senior thought-leaders from some of the world's best organizations,” says Ryan Austin, CEO of Synapse. “This webinar will showcase the importance of design thinking and technological advancements in the learning and development industry." This announcement follows the commercial release of Synapse.
Synapse transforms the manual process of designing learning into an automated, efficient and effective approach. Following best practices in design-thinking and learning science, Synapse lets learning designers and stakeholders collaborate to define project needs, design learning experiences and create blueprints that guide content authoring efforts. The results: better design, better outcomes, better economics.
