Dr. Karen LaMarsh is a dedicated advocate for high-quality continuing and professional education, serving as the Chief Accreditation Officer for IACET. In this role, she leads the accreditation process, ensuring its integrity and effectiveness while supporting the organization’s strategic and operational goals. She is responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring the Commission, managing application reviews—including appeals and denials—and overseeing accreditation workshops and webinars. Karen has been facilitating IACET workshops for over ten years.
With a strong commitment to maintaining the rigor of the ANSI/IACET Standard, Karen strives to make the accreditation process both meaningful and accessible. She brings over 20 years of experience in continuing education at two universities, as well as expertise in internal auditing. Karen holds an engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and earned her Master’s and Doctorate in Adult Education from the University of Georgia.
As the Vice President of Technology for the International Association for Continuing Education and Training Randy is responsible for overseeing and implementing the technological solutions necessary to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the Board of Directors.
With over 20 years of experience as a full-stack developer, providing software and IT solutions within the non-profit and government verticals, he is an expert in the design, development, and implementation of membership management systems, focusing on tightly integrating technology platforms for associations.
Alexa Combs currently serves as IACET's Accreditation Specialist. With a passion for helping others learn and grow, she's enthusiastic about sharing all that IACET accreditation has to offer training organizations. Having earned two degrees, including a Master of Education from George Mason University, her experience in education began prior to her six years with IACET. Alexa lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and son.
