What is the value of your learning department at the management level in your organization? Assessing the value of the entire L & D effort is more complicated than assessing value at the learner level. It is a comprehensive examination that requires focus and structure. L & D managers need to set a purpose for evaluating the department’s offerings, select an evaluation process suitable for that purpose, and write reports to management that offer the next steps for department improvement.

This session will help you address three questions:

  •  What should you examine to assess your full L & D department offerings?
  •  What type of data will you need, and to what will you compare your findings?
  •  How will you draw conclusions that move your L & D effort forward?

By the end of this webinar, learners will be able to:

  • Differentiate between learner-focus and management-focus when assessing learning programs.
  • Distinguish between formative, summative, and cumulative perspectives for evaluation purposes.
  • Describe different methods suitable for each evaluation purpose.
  • Translate full program evaluation findings into understandable decisions for executives and leaders.
