In this session, the presenters will define a stackable credential and its uses and value. There are a few models, often linear, where the credential expands throughout a career and competency levels (entry level, mid-career and seasoned). As the credentials stack above one another, they are expected to have more cognitively demanding and difficult assessment content. The presenters will provided examples from the industry and their own organizations.
1. Define stackable credential including vertical and horizontal stackable credentials
2. Determine which stackable credential model (career vs competency vs hybrid) would be most beneficial
3. Evaluate the pros and cons of using various stackable credentials based on existing examples
