Partners in Development (PID) and IACET have teamed up to research best practices for working in and leading virtual teams.   Complete this brief survey and IACET will make the result available in the coming months.

In 2015, nearly 4 million U.S. employees worked from home at least half the time, an increase of 115% since 2005. Nationally, telecommuting grew far faster than any other means of transportation to work. In over half (57%) of the largest metro areas, the percentage of workers who work remotely exceeds the percentage who use public transit services. (Globalworkplaceanalytics.com). By 2020, it is estimated that 62% of employees are expected to work in virtual teams, making them possibly the single most important way that companies prioritize and coordinate work today.

Navigating the complexities of global business exceeds those of familiar domestic leadership practices. The practices of leading onsite teams fall short of the leadership required for dispersed teams, both domestically and internationally. How prepared are leaders to meet the challenges of leading in a global marketplace?

IACET, in collaboration with Partners in Development, is asking for your input about the attitudes and experiences of people who work remotely or in virtual teams. You are invited to share your views by completing a brief survey to understand the attitudes of virtual team members across various industries worldwide. The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete and all survey responses will be strictly confidential.

Whether you are a leader or a member of a virtual team, your input is needed to better understand the challenges of achieving results while navigating the complexities of culture, building trust, communicating and leveraging technology. Even if you are not currently in a virtual team, your opinions matter. Rest assured that individual responses will be kept confidential and anonymous.

Survey results will be published by early 2018. Please take 5 minutes to complete this survey, by clicking the button/link below. https://usccollege.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0fkhC3DKHD7XFTD
