Learning Objectives
Dr. Hawamdeh is a highly accomplished professional with expertise in instructional technology, educational administration, and training and development. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Education and Instructional Technology from Near East University. Dr. Hawamdeh currently serves as the Director of the Center for Digital Learning at Al-Quds Open University in Palestine, where he leads the development and implementation of innovative digital learning strategies. Previously, he was the Director of Continuing Education Center at the same university, where he oversaw the planning and implementation of a wide range of professional development programs. Before that, Dr. Hawamdeh held the position of Europe Fund Programs Coordinator at Al-Quds Open University, where he played a key role in coordinating the university's participation in European Commission cooperation projects. A respected expert in his field, Dr. Hawamdeh has spoken at various national and international forums and webinars, including the 7th National Forum: Innovation and Future Skills organized by Higher Council for Innovation & Excellence (HCIE) and the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (ACET). Dr. Hawamdeh's dedication to advancing education is further evident in his coordination and involvement in various impactful projects. Notably, he spearheaded the Action Research on E-learning in Palestinian Schools Project, funded by the Belgian development agency, aiming to enhance the implementation of e-learning practices and technologies in Palestinian educational institutions. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in the Virtual Reality as an Innovative and Immersive Learning Tools for HEIs in Palestine project, funded by Erasmus+. Through this initiative, Dr. Hawamdeh explored the potential of virtual reality in higher education, creating immersive learning experiences for students. His expertise and leadership have also contributed to the success of the Mobile Education Center project, English Language Summer Camp, promotion of OER concepts in Arab countries, and the integration of As Samou' communities, emphasizing the importance of education, innovation, and community resilience. Dr.Hawamdeh has published several refereed articles and book chapters, including' 'Comparative Analysis of Students and Faculty Level of Awareness and Knowledge of Digital Citizenship Practices in a Distance Learning Environment: Case Study,' and 'Systematic Analysis of Effectiveness of Using Mobile Technologies (MT) in Teaching and Learning Foreign Language. With his proactive and dedicated approach, Dr. Hawamdeh is constantly striving to make meaningful contributions to the field of education. his expertise and leadership continue to have a positive impact on the development of digital learning strategies and the training and development of educators in Palestine and beyond.
