NOTE: IACET is in the process of updating the Standard and Application (2018), which will be available in November 2017. This workshop is intended for those of you who will be submitting your application by January 1, 2018. The 2018 Standard is currently in draft form. During this workshop, the facilitator will share some of the unique draft requirements with workshop attendees and help them understand what is coming in 2018. You will also receive a copy of the 2018 Standard at no charge.
A “How to Become an IACET Accredited Provider Expanded Workshop” is being offered in Reston, VA. Any training provider looking to become IACET accredited or reaccredited will benefit from this expanded workshop.
This 1½ day workshop is the combination of three (3) 1-hour self-paced eLearning modules combined with a 6-hour hands-on workshop on Day 1 designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the IACET Accredited Provider application process. The extra ½ day workshop on Day 2 will focus on fundamental skills such as: how to write objectives; understanding Bloom’s Taxonomy; components of andragogy; how to evaluate using the Kirkpatrick model and help with applying the critical concepts of adult learning. This expanded workshop is especially designed for individuals who have been charged with training tasks yet may have limited experience with the fundamentals of adult learning.
Prior to the workshop, the self-paced eLearning modules will guide you through the foundational concepts of the ANSI/IACET 1-2013 Standard and how to apply them to your continuing education and training operations. These modules include interactive exercises and examples to help you visualize the necessary component for submitting a successful AP application, and what to expect when feedback is requested from IACET.
