About
Saylor University is an online only nonprofit initiative working since 2008 to offer free and open courses (learning events) to all who want to learn. Saylor Academy offers over 170 full-length online certificate learning events that earn CEUs at the career and technical, college and professional levels. All learning events are available at all times for learners around the world to complete at their own pace, on their schedule, and free of cost.
Saylor Academy learning events are available to students across the globe, with 24/7, 365 days a year access. The institution is particularly focused on providing educational opportunities to underserved populations to transform their lives and those of their communities. All learning events can earn CEUs that are documented in physical and digital certificates, inclusive of the following areas:
- Career and Technical Education learners, focused on workforce readiness and skill development
- Direct Credit learners, seeking affordable, transferable college credit
- Specialization Program learners, pursuing targeted credentials aligned with specific competencies or career pathways
- Degree Program learners, working toward comprehensive academic credentials
