Kids Hope Alliance (KHA) was established under ordinance by the City of Jacksonville on January 1, 2018. It is located in the building formerly known as the Jacksonville Children's Commission. The organization's mission is to build and ensure access to a continuum of comprehensive and integrated programs, services, and activities which address the critical needs of children and youth.
By providing funding to eligible non-profit and community based organizations who develop, maintain, and excel in youth programming for children and youth, ages birth through 18 (and up to age 22 in cases involving persons with special needs). Services include, but are not limited to, early learning childcare, afterschool/ summer camp, mentoring, health & nutrition, mental health and intervention, and support services.
These services are divided into 5 essential service categories which are: Early Learning, Out-of-School Time, Pre-Teen and Teens, Special Needs, and Juvenile Justice. Each of these areas are supported by Training, Administration, Finance, Communication, and Data departments.
