Announcement
In a strategic move to enhance consistency and uphold the rigor of the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training, IACET is announcing a pivotal change to its Reaccreditation Application process. Beginning September 1, 2025, the Reaccreditation Application will transition to an evidence-based format, aligning it with the Initial Accreditation application structure.
What’s Changing:
- Narrative responses will be replaced with documentation-based requirements.
- Applicants must now submit policies, processes, and supporting evidence for each element of the standard.
- This adjustment reinforces IACET’s commitment to ensuring providers maintain compliance with all critical operational practices throughout the accreditation cycle.
For Providers Currently Preparing to Renew:
- The existing narrative-based reaccreditation application format will be available for purchase only until August 31, 2025.
- Providers opting for the narrative version must submit their application no later than 90 days before their accreditation expiration date.
- After September 1, 2025, only the updated, documentation-based application format will be available for purchase and submission for all those reaccrediting.
Next Steps:
We encourage all IACET Accredited Providers with upcoming renewals to review their internal documentation and begin preparing to meet the new submission requirements. Planning ahead will help ensure a smooth transition to the new format and prevent delays in reaccreditation.
