FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sterling, VA — September 23, 2025-The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) proudly announces the appointment of Kelly Morin as its new Vice President of Accreditation, effective October 1, 2025. Morin will work alongside Dr. Karen LaMarsh, who will retire in December, ensuring a smooth and seamless leadership transition.
Morin brings a wealth of experience in continuing education, accreditation, and workforce development. She currently serves as Director of Training and Development at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), where she manages a $2.5 million training budget and directs learning initiatives for more than 2,200 employees. Previously, she led training efforts at the FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), developing strategic workforce plans and advancing succession planning initiatives.
Her long-standing engagement with IACET includes service as a Board Member (2021–2024) and Chair of the Open Digital Badging Standard Workgroup, where she played a pivotal role in advancing innovative credentialing standards and reinforcing IACET’s position as a global thought leader in continuing education and training.
“Kelly’s extensive experience in accreditation and workforce development, coupled with her passion for IACET’s mission, makes her the ideal leader to guide our accreditation program into the future,” said Randy Bowman, President & CEO of IACET. “Her proven leadership and commitment to excellence will strengthen IACET’s role as the standard-setting body in continuing education and training worldwide.”
“After being involved with IACET in multiple ways for more than eight years, I was presented with the opportunity to join the team and more fully dedicate myself to the mission,” said Morin. “While I considered supporting a World that Learns Better by returning to the Board of Directors, I love the team and organization and believe I can be a bigger part of IACET realizing its strategic goals as the Vice President of Accreditation. I’m excited to start my role next week and partner with our current and future accredited providers to achieve their goals.
Morin will officially assume her role on October 1, 2025, and will work closely with Dr. LaMarsh to ensure continuity during the transition.
