Contribute to the 2025 revision of the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training

Deadline: 12/31/2025

The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is working to complete the formation of an IACET Standards Development Committee (SDC) to function as the American National Standard consensus body for the revision and maintenance of ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training. IACET is actively recruiting dedicated learning and development professionals willing to serve on the IACET Continuing Education and Training Standards Development Committee (CE/T SDC). The purpose of the CE/T SDC is to undertake the technical work required for the development of proposed standards approved by the IACET Council on Standards Development (ICSD).  The full description of the role may be found in Section 4.4.5 of the IACET Council on Standards Development Procedures for American National Standards (link)

Standards Development Committee (SDC) members are needed in the following areas:

  • Government - Any individual or group that represents a Jurisdictional entity or agency at the federal, state, or local level. These stakeholders are responsible for developing, implementing, or enforcing policies, regulations, or programs related to continuing education and training (CE/T). Examples include, but are not limited to, regulatory agencies, public educational institutions, and government-operated training organizations.
  • Non-profit - Any individual or group that is defined as a legally constituted organization whose objective is to support or engage in continuing education and training (CE/T) activities of public or private interest without commercial or monetary profit. Included are, but not limited to, CE/T Accreditors, societies, community groups, and non-government organizations.
  • For profit - Any individual or group that operates as a commercial enterprise with the primary objective of generating profit through the provision of CE/T services or related products. These stakeholders include, but are not limited to, private training companies, educational technology firms, and corporate training departments.
  • General interest - Any individual or group that does not directly represent a government, for-profit, or non-profit entity but has a legitimate interest in the development and application of continuing education and training (CE/T) standards. These stakeholders may include, but are not limited to, learners, independent consultants, subject matter experts, researchers, standards developers, and other individuals or organizations with a general, academic, or professional interest in CE/T quality and improvement.
