IACET is actively recruiting dedicated learning and development professionals* willing to serve as Commissioners on the IACET Commission for Accreditation to the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training.

Requirements for serving:

  • Attend Commission meetings and trainings (at least six per year, including Annual Commissioner Training in the fall)
  • Commit to improving the quality of Continuing Education and Training (CE/T) through the application of standards
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the most current ANSI/IACET Standard for CE/T
  • Abide by the IACET Commission Policies & Procedures
  • Review at least 6 accreditation applications to termination per year in the role of the Administrative or Interviewing Commissioner

*IACET is seeking professionals who can communicate, read, and write fluently in Spanish or Arabic.

Application Review Process:

  1. Each Application Review team consists of two Commissioners.
  2. The team will be responsible for reviewing the assigned application which consists of policies, processes, and evidence documentation. There are typically two reviews of each application.
  3. Each team member documents their comments and then works with the other member to create consensus comments for the Applicant.
  4. Consensus comments will be objective and based on the compliance of the documentation to the ANSI/IACET Standard.
  5. Team members may conduct a Clarification Call with the Applicant when questions arise.
  6. The Administrative Commissioner leads the team during the review process, while the Interviewing Commissioner conducts the Accreditation Interview.
  7. The Final Report from the Commission communicates the approval decision.
