IACET Authorized Provider Details

How long have you been an IACET AP? 12 years

Who will train the trainers? IACET, of course. And no job is too specialized. Take General Physics (GP), which became an IACET Authorized Provider in 1995. A subcontractor to the U.S. Army Chemical Materials Agency, GP offers technical training for companies involved in the demilitarization of chemical weapons.
“GP wants to afford its students the opportunity to obtain college credits for the courses that they take through us,” says Craig Segar, the company’s senior vice president. “Having the IACET credential also sets us apart from our competitors whenever we renegotiate our government contract.”
Therefore, GP places the IACET logo on all certificates given to students at the completion of coursework. Segar believes continuing education and training has a bright future, but without standards, employees would be less able to perform their duties and responsibilities with competence and safety. For GP, it’s literally a question of life and death.
