There are many reasons why an organization becomes an IACET Authorized Provider (AP). One of our newer APs, Mastery Technologies, Inc., decided to take the plunge after a potential customer who preferred Mastery’s training to other e-learning platforms was forced to purchase training from another vendor because it offered continuing education units (CEUs).

“Being an IACET Authorized Provider brings a professional recognition to our training design and implementation,” says Sandy Jessop, Mastery’s director of training and courseware development. “While completing our documentation to earn rights to grant IACET CEUs, our company was able to validate our development process and instructional delivery method, as it so closely matched the IACET criterion and standards.”

Jessop also sees more and more companies and professional institutions requesting or requiring annual continuing education and training. “IACET standards assure credibility and consistency to training offered by Authorized Providers,” she says. “Our website boasts our affiliation with the IACET organization, and individual course web pages state the number of CEUs associated with each program. Online training completion also offers a printed certificate which displays the number of CEUs granted.”

Mastery Technologies, Inc., offers asynchronous training, with CEUs provided with web course delivery. Customers deploying training from CD-ROM or LAN delivery can also receive (CEUs), provided they send their learner records to Mastery for data control and storage (minimum 10 years).
